On April 26, 2025, at 10:00 am, the Sakura Fest began on the sakura alley near the building of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technologies  (Dnipro, Lazaryana St., 2).
The event was held as part of career guidance activities aimed at attracting applicants.
In addition to the program of presenting the admission rules-2025, a bright holiday was held with an artistic program, sports competitions, and performances.
Students, their parents, and teachers were provided with materials with admission conditions.
Among other teachers, career guidance activities were conducted by associate professors of the Department of International Economics and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines Leonidov I.L. and Beskaravainyi S.S.

On April 23, the Information Day event "The European Union Framework Programme for Research and Innovation "Horizon Europe" was held.
Current competitions and partnerships in project proposals in the direction of "Climate, Energy and Mobility". The issues of the financial, competitive, scientific component of participation in this project were discussed. Examples of the success of the teams' participation in this work were given. The meeting was held on the basis of the PDBA, with a report from the DMetI by Associate Professor Zhadanos A. (Department of Electrometallurgy), who has been the head of the directions within this project more than once. From the Department of MESGD, Associate Professor Borisova T.V. and Senior Lecturer Savych A.V. participated.

The development of a strategic vision, digital transformation, ensuring the quality of education, and academic integrity are the basis for implementing educational reforms. The Academic Managers Professional Development Program aims to prepare for their implementation. This initiative is being implemented by the British Council together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the framework of the World Bank project “Improving Higher Education in Ukraine for Results Project – UIHERP”.

On March 11, a meeting was held between the Head of the Department of MESGD, Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine, Viktor TARASEVYCH, and graduates of the E.O. Paton Professional College of Welding and Electronics. V. Tarasevych spoke in detail about the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, the Dnipro Metallurgical Institute, the Faculty of Economics and Management, the Department of International Economics and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, specialty C1 "Economics and International Economic Relations" and the educational programs launched at the department, focused on the competitive advantages of these programs, referring to the practical experience of the successful activities of graduates, and answered questions. Gratitude was expressed to the Deputy Director of the College, Irina Ivanivna Voronova, and the Head of the Department, Oleksandra Oleksiivna Levytska, for organizing the meeting.

 On March, 27 2025 departure professional orientation work took place in the lyceums № 39, № 41 та № 2 town Kam'ianske.
 Conditions of enter into the Ukrainian state university of science and technologies were explained in the performance of pro-rector from educator work of Olga Rizhova. 
 Requirements for results of MDP for enter into the faculty of economy and management of the Dnepr metallurgical institute exposed dean of Olena Bozshanova. 
 Infirmation of professional orientation and consulting of professional orientation from the department of international economy and socialhumanitarian disciplines was conducted the associate professor of Ihor Leonidov.

On March 21, a discussion was held between the head of the MEPEU department, corresponding member of the NAS of Ukraine, Viktor Tarasevich, and graduates of lyceum No. 9 on the problems of possible responses of Ukrainian youth to the modern challenges of globalization, glocalization, regionalization, localization, smartization, ubiquitous networks and artificial intelligence. The participants of the discussion agreed that the basic foundations of adequate responses to the above-mentioned challenges are the dignity and freedom of the individual, real patriotism and independence, competitive knowledge and competencies.

On March 13, 2025, for students of groups EK02-21 and EK02-24-M, the vice-president of the Dnipropetrovsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vitalii  Zhmurenko, held a master class “Export process. Exporting enterprise’s entry into foreign markets”.

After the master class, Vitalii Zhmurenko met with the head of the department, corresponding member of the Ukrainian NAS Victor Tarasevych, and the guarantors of the educational programs  “International Economics” (bachelor’s and master’s levels) prof. Olena  Zavhorodnia and prof. Volodymyr  Bilotserkivts. This meeting continued a series of consultation meetings between the department's management and stakeholders-employers on determining the practical profiles of the MESGD department within the framework of the joint university-wide programs for training higher education applicants in the specialty C1 - Economics and International Economic Relations.

On February 18, 2025, a meeting of the Academic Council of the State Institution "Institute of Economics and Forecasting of the NAS of Ukraine" was held, at which the issue of approving for publication the monograph of Corresponding Member of the NAS of Ukraine Viktor TARASEVYCH "Information-digital and smart processes in the economy: activity and value dimensions" was considered.

 Recently, during the visit to the school № 85, the head of department of IESHD, corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine V. Tarasevych was initiated the discussion of schoolboys about the prospects of their life and activity after receipt the certificate about secondary education.

 In the discussion took part deputy of director S.Olifyr. An agreement about concrete general measures was attained.

Associate Professor of the Department of International Economics and Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Candidate of Political Sciences. Iryna Oleksandrivna Tsurkanova took part in the International scientific and practical conference of students, postgraduates and young scientists «Youth Science: Innovations and Global Challenges». This event, which gathered scientists not only from Ukraine, but also from the countries of the European Union, was held on November 6, 2024 at the National University «Poltava Polytechnic named after Yury Kondratyuk».
The topic of the report presented by I.O. Tsurkanova: «The impact of innovative technologies on the transformation of social relations in the context of globalization» aroused the interest of the conference participants. After the speech, a number of questions were asked, to which scientists received reasonable answers.

An important event in scientific and public activity of the Ukrainian state university of science and technologies became round table the "Results of participation of the Ukrainian scientists in the program "Horizon Europe". Presentation of successful cases", what took place on December, 18 in 2024. The chancellor of university of  Konstantin Suhyj came forward to the participants with a congratulatory word. With the personal interest there were the met lectures of Vladyslav Danshevsky, Maryna Babenko, Anton Smirnov. The special notice the lecture of Yevhen Ryzhenko came into "Experience of cooperation of company Festo with the Ukrainian universities. Strengthening of role of OHE in the context of paradigm of Industry 4.0". In this head of the department of international economy and social-humanitarian disciplines has grounding results that is represented in a fundamental monograph the "Digital measuring of innovation-information economics" after the release of member - correspondent of NAS of Ukraine, Victor Tarasevych, prepared within the framework of the European project on the program "Erasmus+  Strengthening of role of OHE in industrial transformation in the context of paradigm of Industry 4.0 in Georgia and Ukraine".

In-process was round table the head of department Victor Tarasevych and other tutors of the department. Interesting suggestions were expressed by participants round table from the South machine-building plant in relation to the prospects of cooperation of enterprise with Institute of aerospace researches of USUST in the project of creation of monthly settlements on Moon, moreover, that USUST already has for itself a standard of soil of Moon as mortgage of success of the new ambitious space programs with participation of USUST.

A west became an effective platform for an exchange, search of new ideas and partners, experience for realization of innovative projects. Participants expressed a confidence in that the program "Horizon Europe" opens wide possibilities for development of Ukrainian science, assists integration to European scientific space.
